4. Player Number - Upon initially signing up with AIFP, a player will be given a player number exclusive to that player. Player must check in at each nightly event they play in using that player number. Failure to do so could result in results not recorded properly.

5. Cell Phones may not be used at the table during the finals or special events. Failure to do so can result in removal from tournament.

6. Conduct/Penalty - During nightly play, if a player is punished with a penalty, it will result in the posting of a big blind and then having their hand dealt normally but immediatly mucked. Repeated offenses will result in removal from tournament and possible ban from AIFP events. Any threatening of players/dealers/staff will result in expulsion from nightly event and possible ban. Examples of inappropriate behavior: Verbal or physical threats; obscene or profane language; creating a disturbance by arguin, shouting or making excessive noise; throwing equipment; destroying property; carrying a weapon.

7. Etiquette - The following actions are improper and grounds for warnings and/or penalties: Touching other players chips or cards; rabbit hunting; acting out of turn; splashing the pot; revealing another player's hand; interferring with the visibility of cards &/or chips; talking about the board or making statements or actions that influence play in an unfair manner; speaking any language besides English while at the table.

8. Banned Players - A player may be banned from playing in any future AIFP events for violating any AIFP Rules and Regulations. A player who is banned will forfeit any sponsorship opportunities awarded or possibly awarded by AIFP to player.

Don't do it. There should be no money on the table during play. If you need to pay the bar's server for bar items, please do so when hands are not in play and don't leave money on the table.

10. Blinds - Blinds are 15 minutes long for the first 3 events of the night. For the fourth event, the blinds will be 15 minutes for the first two blind levels and then run at 8 minutes. Manager can change levels for single table events to 10 minutes.

11. Chip Stacks - All player start nightly events with 2500 chips. Bonus chips can be earned by arriving and checking in with the poker manager 30 minutes prior to the start time. You can also earn bonus chips by referring players.

12. Pot Ruling - A ruling regardinga pot may only be made before the next hand starts. The next hand starts with the dealer starting the shuffling process.

13. Minimum Players - There must be 7 players to run an event.

14. Eliminated Players - Any player who is no longer in a tournament can no longer sit at the table.

15. English Only - Only English can be spoken while at the table, this includes talking to people who aren't at the table. Failure to do so will result in penalties and possible banning.

16. Poker Manager Discretion - Our poker managers are to consider the best of interest of the game and teh fairness as the top priority in the decision making process. This includes using the TDA's rules. Unusual circumstances may require that exceptions be made in the interest of fairness. The Poker Manager's Decision is final.

17. Tournament Entry Cutoff - The latest a player may sign up and enter a tournament is 35 minutes after it's start (2 blind levels and a 5 minute break). A player may enter after the 35 minute mark if he/she is on the waiting list with the poker manager and is at the location. As soon as cards fly after the 5 minute break, anyone not on the list (in the bar and not playing another tournament) will not be allowed entry to that event.

18. Misdeal/Exposed Cards - While dealing, a misdeal will occur if any of the following occur: Two cards are exposed; Two cards are dealt off the table; Any combination of Two cards exposed or dealt off the table; the first card to the blinds is dealt up. If only one card is exposed or delat off the table (unless the first card to the blinds) the deal will be good and the exposed card will become the burn card. If the dealer prematurly exposes the flop, the burn card and the flop will be reshuffled into the remaining deck upon completion of action and then it will be re-flopped. If the turn card is prematurely exposed, the dealer, upon completion of action, will pull the exposed card to the side and then will burn a second card (what would have been the burn card for the river) and then use the next card as the turn card (this would have been the river). Then the dealer will reshuffle the exposed card with the remainder of the deck. After completion of the action after the turn, the dealer will burn a fourth card and then reveal the river card. If the dealer prematurely exposes the river card, the card will be pulled aside and, upon completion of action, will be shuffled back into the remainder of the deck. Then a fourth card will be burned and the river will be revealed. If a burn card is accidently exposed, it will be shown to all players, but will remain a burn card, flipped face down after showing all players. If action is taken on an incorrectly exposed card, that action will be rescinded and the appropriate corrections made as listed above.

19. No Splashing the Pot - All bets must be made directly in front of the player making the bet. Splashing the pot (throwing chips towards the pot and mixing them in) can be met with a penalty if continued. Initially a warning will be issued.

20. No String Bets - Unless an amount is stated prior to the motion of betting, all chips that are intended to be bet must be placed in on motion. Chips placed as a bet will be considered a bet unless otherwise stated amount prior to that action.

21. Raise - A raise will be accomplished by the following: Stating raise; placing two or more chips in front of your cards in the motion of betting that are equal to at least double the previous bet. A raise will not be in effect if a player puts one over chip (i.e. a 500 unit chip versus blinds of 100/200) in as the bet without stating raise prior to the motion.

22. Verbal Declarations - Are binding. If you say raise, you are obligated to at least raise the minimum. If you say "I call and I raise you another amount" it will be considered a call, as your first declaration is "Call".

23. Physical Declarations - The action of tossing your cards towards the dealer in the motion of folding will be considered a fold. The only exceptions to this are: You are the blg blind in an unraised pot, in which case, the dealer will inform you that you're the big blind and your hand will be automatically checked; the other scenario is when a player tosses their cards towards the dealer when they think the hand is over and they've won the hand, but there's still another player in the hand. In this case, the cards would be returned to the player and they would be informed of the other player still in the hand. However, in both cases, if the hand reaches and touches the muck, it will be killed. In the case of the player who thought they had won the hand, their bet will remain in the pot. It is the player's responsibility to know who else is in the hand, or ask the dealer if they're not sure.

24. Showdown - Both cards of the winning player's hand must be shown to be awarded the pot. A player may elect to show his hand or not if they think they have lost the hand. If another player askes to see the hand, the dealer will deaden it by touching it to the muck and then expose it. If the player being awarded the pot asks to see the hand, it will remain live and could be declared the winner if it is found to be a better hand.

25. Cards Speak - As reference above, if a hand is exposed at showdown the dealer will declare the winner, as the cards speak. If any player at the table sees that the dealer has incorrectly read the hand, they may speak up about the exposed cards to assist in correctly awarding the winner.

26. One Player to a Hand - Unlike the scenario above, if a player happens to see another player's hand as they fold it face down, they may not tell them that they have the winner. No other player, in the game or out, may help another play in the hand. Also, there is to be no discussion of the board or folded cards.

This is a general guideline list of rules and does not represent the limit of rules for AIFP events. AIFP reserves the right to change rules as necessary, without notification or changing immediately on this site.
