All In Free Poker Rules
1. Players must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Some establishments don’t allow patronage by those under 21 after certain hours, thus players under-21 might not be able to participate at some locations. 2. Smoking is NOT prohibited at the table even in smoker friendly establishments; ashtrays and smoking must be done away from the table. 3. Seating is done with a sign up list. Generally, players are allowed to sit where they want, but head dealer has right to assign seating if needed. If not enough seats are available for players, a waiting list based on signup order will be created. 4. Tipping the dealer is encouraged, but not required. Cash is not allowed on the table at any time during play. To tip the dealer, do so when cards are not in play. 5. No side betting or gambling of any type is allowed. Players found to be in violation of this will be removed from the tournament and could be banned from all future play with All In Free Poker. 6. English is the official language and must be spoken at or around the tables. Players speaking foreign languages during play or amongst players seated at the table can result in penalties. There can be select ethnic establishments where this rule will be loosened. 7. Verbal declarations are binding. If you say raise, you’re committed to the minimum raise amount (as described below). 8. The action of tossing your cards towards the dealer in the motion of folding will be considered a fold. Exceptions to a hand being folded are: the big blind in an unraised pot will be given their cards back; or a player tosses their cards towards the dealer thinking they won the pot and they are not facing a bet, while there is another player that either checked or called behind them. This player would be awarded their cards back. The above two exceptions would be nullified if the cards hit the muck or if, in a called/checked down hand the other player exposes their cards. 9. Exposing any of your cards when facing a bet is considered a fold and could result in a penalty. 10. “Splashing the pot” is not permitted. Place bets in front of you in a normal manner to avoid possible confusion or have your bets discerned by the dealer. 11. Only one player may play a hand. No one is allowed to play another player’s chips or cards. 12. Players may not look at other players hands whether they’re folding or not. If a player shows their hand to another player in the hand, both hands could be killed. Further penalties could include a big blind penalty and killed hand on the ensuing deal. 13. Players are responsible for protecting their own hand and their right to action. Any irregularities must immediately be brought to Head Dealer’s attention prior to next hand being dealt. 14. Players must show both cards to be awarded the pot in a shown down hand. 15. Players should wait until the dealer instructs them to expose their hand. Pre-exposed hands could result in penalty. 16. The minimum amount to call pre-flop is the minimum bet (big blind) or a raised amount above it if applicable. Any player who has gone all in for less than the minimum bet will be entitled to only the pot made up from all bets equal to that amount, while a side pot will be made of the remainder of bets equal to the difference between the all in bet and the minimum bet. 17. The minimum amount to call post-flop is the minimum bet or a raised amount above it if applicable. If a player has gone all in for less than the minimum bet to open the betting, that is the new minimum amount to call. A minimum raise would be the amount of the all in bet plus the big blind. 18. A raise must be double the amount of the previous amount bet. If a re-raise situation arises, the re-raise must be at least the amount of the raise above the big blind previously raised; i.e. If the blinds are 100/200, the minimum raise is to 400, with a max of all the players’ chips. If the blinds are 100/200 and someone raises to 500, the new minimum raise amount is 300 above the 500, or 800. 19. If a player bets a single oversized chip (i.e. a 500 unit chip with blinds at 100/200) and there is already a bet in play, it will be considered a call unless the player announces raise prior to the chip being put into play. A bet of two or more chips will be considered a raise as long as the amount is equal to a full raise or announcement of raise has been made. If the bet amount is less than a full raise, but the intention of a raise was there, the dealer may rule it a live raise, at the discretion of the Head Dealer. Continued errors will be ruled as non-raises. 20. String best or string raises are not permitted. 21. The latest a player may sign up and enter a tournament is 35 minutes after it’s start (2 15 minute blind levels or 3 10 minute blind levels, and the 5 minute break). A player may enter after the 35 minute mark if he/she is on the waiting list with the Head Dealer and is at the location. As soon as cards fly after the 5 minute break, anyone not on the list (in the bar and not playing in another tournament) will not be allowed entry into that event. 22. Discussion regarding the hand in progress is not allowed and offenders could receive penalties. 23. Blinds are 10 minutes per round for the all 4 games. 24. There are select locations that will have different minute blinds throughout due to closing times or management decisions. 25. Criticisms of how another player has elected to play their hand or their general style are impolite and unacceptable. Repeated offenses could receive penalties. 26. Folded hands must be folded immediately and cannot be held or set to the side to show after the hand. 27. We reserve the right to prohibit two or more players from playing at the same table to start a tournament. 28. Checks and raises are allowed. 29. Cards speak when face up on the table at the showdown. 30. All chips must be kept in full view. 31. Misdeals – ONLY THE DEALER CAN DECLARE A MISDEAL: While dealing a misdeal will occur if any of the following occur: Two cards are exposed; two cards are dealt off the table; any combination of two cards exposed or dealt off the table; the first card to the blinds is dealt up. If only one card is exposed or dealt off the table (unless the first card to the blinds), the deal will be good and the exposed card will become the burn card. If the dealer prematurely exposes the flop, the burn card and the flop will be reshuffled into the remaining deck stub upon completion of action and then it will be re-flopped. If the turn card is prematurely exposed, the dealer, upon completion of action, will pull the exposed cared to the side and then will burn a second card (what would have been the burn card for the river) and then use the next card for the turn card (this would have been the river). Then the dealer will reshuffle the exposed card with the remaining deck stub. After completion of action on the turn, the dealer will burn a fourth card and then reveal the river card. If the dealer prematurely exposes the river card, the card will be pulled aside and, upon completion of action, will shuffle it back in with the remaining deck stub. Then a fourth card will be burned and the river will be revealed. If a burn card is accidently exposed, it will be shown for all players, but will remain a burn card, flipped face down after showing to all players. If action is taken on an incorrectly exposed card, that action will be rescinded and the appropriate corrections made as listed above. 32. Cell phones, mp3 players and headphones may be used at nightly event during play. But if they become a distraction to the table or cause the game to be delayed, the player will be asked to turn them off or discontinue use. Cell phones may not be used at the table during the finals or special events. Failure to do so can result in removal from tournament. An action while wearing headphones or talking on a cell phone will be ruled live, as the player is responsible to know what is going on at the table (i.e. if a player raises previously and the headphone player throws in a call amount of the minimum bet, the bet will remain in the pot and the headphone player will have the option to complete the bet to a full call or they can fold their hand and the chips will remain in the pot). Another example would be if a player wearing headphones or talking on the phone or generally not paying attention who announces call and there is a raise facing them that they were unaware of will be forced to call. The possible exception to this would be if someone was being spoken to be another person in the building and not at the table and the dealer did not announce the raise, but this is at the discretion of the Head Dealer. 33. A non-player or eliminated player may not sit at the table. 34. No rabbit hunting – dealer may not show what the flop, turn or river would have been on a folded hand. 35. Looking through the discards or deck stub is not allowed. 36. A player is expected to pay attention to the game and not hold up play. Activity that interferes with this, such as reading at the table, is discouraged, and the player will be asked to cease if a problem is caused. 37. Language, dress and behavior should be of a standard appropriate for ladies and gentlemen. Speak as if your mother was at the table with a bar of soap in her hand. Improper and rude language can be penalized. 38. A player may be banned from playing in any future All In Free Poker events for violating any AIFP Rules and Regulations.
